General Meeting
L'Association de Ultimate de Montréal cordially invites all members to attend the next Annual General Meeting, which will be held Friday, April 9, 2010 at the Centre de Loisirs communautaires Lajeunesse (7378, rue Lajeunesse, Montréal, H2R 2H8).
*Please note that while a small number of parking spaces are available in the community centre parking lot or on the neighbouring side streets, we strongly encourage the use of public transit (the community centre is a 2 minute walk from the Jean-Talon metro stop on the orange line).

- Review of 2009
- Presentation of the 2010 budget
- Pre-registration for 2010 summer league teams
Are you interested in getting involved in YOUR association? Five seats are currently open on the Board of Directors. It's very easy to nominate yourself - simply fill out the Nomination form and return it to secretaire@montrealultimate.ca by midnight on March 25, 2010.
At the meeting there will be: inexpensive beer, promotional materials from VC and the AUM, good music and awesome people! We look forward to seeing many of you there!
Spring League
2010 SPRING LEAGUE
- Four league nights: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
- One location: Forbes field at McGill University
- Four timeslots per night (6:30, 7:40, 8:50, 10:00) on three fields
- Capacity of 24 teams per night
- League starts March 29th, 2010
- Duration: 8 weeks (a minimum of 6 weeks depending on the weather)
- Please note that there will be no games on the week of April 26th, due to the Alouettes training camp.
- 12 players per team 12 players: 7 men, 5 women.
- Cost: team fee of $350, taxes included (cash or cheque to the AUM)
Essais libres HARD
Another Ultimate mixte team will compete this summer in Montreal!
‘HARD’, with a base of core experienced competitive players is looking for a few more players to complete its roster for the 2010 season to perform at the Canadian Ultimate Championship (CUC) in Sherbrooke.
Tryouts will be held in two phases,
- Phase One will be conjunction with RIP’s tryouts, held on Saturday, March 13, 2010 from 19:45 – 21:15 and Sunday, March 14, 2010 from 19:00 – 21:00 at complex Bois de Boulogne in Laval (Directions: http://www.ultimatemontreal.ca/en/node/290). Please bring a white, black and red shirt, cleats, water and a disc. In addition, to pay for the fields, please bring either $15.00 per night or $25.00 for both evenings payable to RIP.
- Phase Two will be an invitational training camp in May; location and time to be determined.

Montreal thanks all of you for participating with unbridled enthusiasm and in such large numbers in the second edition of the Montréal en Mars tournament! 24 regular teams and 8 university teams battled it out on the playing field. This event introduced many players to the 4 on 4 format, Quebec’s preferred winter version of ultimate. We bet that Montreal will be a can’t-miss stop on the CQU4 for years to come!
Congratulations to the winning teams: You’re Cut in the regular division, and UdeS in the university division. The spirit prize goes to Mon équipe.
Thanks for everyone for participating in such great numbers! We will see you again next year!

INDOOR TOURNAMENT

April 10th and 11th, 2010 (at the same place than the Quebec 4on4 Championship: you'll have the chance to see the top 12 Quebec teams in action!)
- 4on4
- Teams are usually composed of 5 men and 3 women
- Two days tournament
- Stade du Haut Richelieu (synthetic indoor field)
- Organisation is shared with Ultimate St-Jean
- $150 teams fees or 20$ per individual registration, lunch included
- Accomodation and diner at low cost
- Pay by cheque to the AUM (mailed to 2194, avenue De LaSalle, suite 210, H1V 2K8)

That is Beach Ultimate
Imagine yourself deciding whether you will be forcing Palm or forcing Ocean, or imagine yourself evaluating how the ocean breeze will affect your throw, feeling the warm sand on your skin after the last lay-out. That is Beach Ultimate
We may not have the ocean breeze, but we have fake palm trees and a sandy surface for the exclusive use of adults with a passion for the ultimate.
We therefore propose that you participate in the only INDOOR ULTIMATE BEACH tournament in Quebec.
New summer leagues : Laval and Longueuil 2010
In response to our members’ feedback (about field proximity) and after reviewing our 2008-2012 strategic goals, the AUM would like to develop this summer two new leagues, one in Laval and one in Longueuil.
The Laval league will take place on Thursdays on the fields at the Laval multisport complex (Bois-de-Boulogne) and the Longueuil league will take place on Wednesday on the Collège Français turf fields.

Demon is currently organizing its third season on the open competitive circuit and it is looking very promising !!! We are inviting all interested players to level up their play and participate at upcoming Demon Nights and tryouts happening soon.
Without a doubt, Demon offers one of the best environment for players wishing to improve their ultimate skills and understanding of the game.
